Basic InSAR for Infra maintenance - Thursday 9 April
Planning urban infrastructure maintenance in soft soil environment
In this session you will learn
Monitoring remote is more important than ever. The current situation teaches us your assets can’t always be monitored on site. By inspecting InSAR data and having basic understanding of remote sensing datasets, early detection of stability problems in pipelines, bridges, roads, etc. comes within grasp.
But how do you implement InSAR in your infra maintenance planning? Where do you start, which approaches help, what questions do you ask? And what skills do you need?
Martijn Houtepen will answer these and other questions on Thursday 9 April from 15.00 to 16.00 (Amsterdam GMT+1 time).
What will we cover
- Basic understanding of SAR and InSAR remote sensing measurements
- Large scale monitoring
- Applying InSAR data for asset management
- Long term maintenance planning
- Real life business cases
- Q & A session
- Hands-on and interactive
Who is it for?
This meeting is aimed at engineers, risk managers and asset managers who want to broaden their basic knowledge of InSAR. If incorporating InSAR within your organization is on your wishlist, make sure to attend. Get started on introducing InSAR in your organization.
More about your trainer
Martijn Houtepen is expert in deployment of InSAR, core lecturer at SkyGeo InSAR Academy and author of Hands-on guide for InSAR-based monitoring. In 2018 he launched SkyGeo’s Risk Audit for buildings in the Netherlands and developed new business cases with innovative Geo-data. Martijn is a professional with feet on the ground and hands on the data.
More about our webinar
In this weekly webinar, we shed light on new InSAR developments and we will take InSAR knowledge and expertise of participants to the next level. We make it easy for you to understand and trust these complex data and build the confidence with which you and your users apply the InSAR data to support decisions. Each webinar tackles one of four recurring topics: validate, visualize, apply and discover with InSAR. Webinars are dedicated to small groups with room for questions and participation.

For this webinar a certificate for 1 Professional Development Hour (PDH) is provided via email to all attending participants.
SkyGeo launches a new series of weekly online interactive sessions, specifically tailored to match your area of work or branche.
A decade ago, scientists all over the world still struggled how to use the gigantic datasets sent to us via satellites. SkyGeo was among the first to discover the true potential for the industry and is now the leading provider of InSAR monitoring systems. We’re sharing our knowledge and business cases with attendees. To start, we’re presenting InSAR basics in a user friendly way. Every week we’ll zoom in on a theme or branche and share insights. We maximise the number of attendees to make sure there’s plenty of room for questions.
